Welcome to HireLens. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the HireLens mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the information necessary to provide and improve our services:
- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and name (if provided) to create and manage your account securely.
- User Content: To provide personalized CV analysis and cover letter generation, we collect the CV files/texts and job descriptions you voluntarily upload to the app.
- Usage & Diagnostic Data: We may collect non-identifiable usage statistics and crash reports to improve app performance and stability.
- Purchase Information: If you subscribe to our Premium plans, your payment is processed directly by Apple. We do not collect or store your credit card information. We only receive an anonymous user ID (
appUserID) and your purchase status via RevenueCat to grant you access to premium features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To create, manage, and authenticate your user account securely via Supabase.
- To generate tailored insights, CV analyses, and custom cover letters by securely transmitting the text you provide to our AI partners (e.g., OpenAI or Google Gemini API).
- To unlock and manage your Premium subscription features.
- To improve the overall functionality and AI accuracy of the HireLens app.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third-party services that may have access to certain data in order to operate:
- Supabase: Used for secure user authentication (email/password, social logins) and secure cloud database storage.
- AI Providers (OpenAI / Google Gemini): Job descriptions and CV texts you submit are sent to these APIs securely to generate your analysis. These providers do not use your private data to train their public models.
- Apple App Store & RevenueCat: Used to securely process subscription payments and manage your premium entitlements.
